Update on Dad
Take advantage of every minute you can with your dad,I know when my dad was in his final days, those are the ones that seem to stick in my mind the most. Prayers are with you.

Update on Dad
Amy, I'm reassured that God has his hands on your father and family. Let his will take over your sorrow and thank him for the life you have shared and will share again. It's going to be ok girl..

Update on Dad
Thank you everyone. BD, very well said. It is extremely hard to watch this process. Thank goodness my brother was able to make here to be with us. Of course we never know when it will end, but we know it won't be long. I truly appreciate your thoughts, concerns, and prayers.

Update on Dad
Kawgirl. My mother died on my birthday in 1996 with Glioma. Same diagnosis as Ted Kennedy. Unfortunately it's always fatal. It was the hardest year of my life. I was teaching her how to body board one day in the ocean at our beach house and she had a seizure. I knew something was coming down the dark hallway of hell; I just knew it. She was the apple of my eye and my best friend. Yes, I was mama's boy. Baby of the family. Her passing hollowed out my soul and made me a shell of a man for a few years.
I recovered and think only great thoughts of our relationship over our lifetime together. She's gone but she's not out of my life. I know how fast the child in all of use can come out when this happens. I've said a prayer to her today to let her know of your grief and what you are going through. As I've said before. It's going to be ok. You'll be fine. Let your father know what he means to you, when he's having a good day, and your love will never stop for him. It will make him comfortable in the December of his life. Tie up your relationship with ribbons of love. It will make all the difference years down the road. I know there is nothing I can do for you. You have my sincere heart felt sympathy. BD

Kawgirl, Definitely one of life's toughest. Even though the master plan is that we should outlive our parents it doesn't make it any easier. My thoughts are with you and your family.
