Highway Pegs

Are there any highway pegs that don't attach to the engine guard on the Nomad?
Thanks, Mike

Highway Pegs

Hey mdm44
There use to be a thread or article somewhere.....maybe it was Gadgets Page where I got my "Hwy peg" idea from. I've attached the "arm" from a large gate latch under the floor/foot board. If you take the foot board off the bike and turn it over you'll see two unused threaded holes. You'll have to drill out the hole in gate latch piece a bit larger and get the proper screw from your local hardware and screw the gate latch at the angle you want it. I have mine sticking straight out the side. There I can easily stretch my legs out by resting my heel on the latch arm. I don't like Hwy. pegs that clamp on to anything. Sorry I have no pics at the moment but I'll try and get some tomorrow and post them for you. If you copy the first image of my bike on my post and enlarge the foot board area you might be able to see what it looks like. It looks like the bike came that way. Brushed aluminum to match the trim on your foot boards.

Here's the link Rickyboy was talking about. It's a pretty good cheap idea.

MC Enterprise makes a good set for the Nomad that you can buy direct for $120.

"Ya !! that's the ticket" JussMatt works great for me. I've had a lot of good comments on them. The price is right for sure.

Thank you for your responses. I appreciate the input. That floorboard idea is really innovative, and definitely one of the least expensive mods I've seen for this bike.
Thanks,
Mike
