....I've been thinking the name thing over and I don't have anything new to add. I'm kinda partial to "Western Canadian Nomad Riders". If this could be fit on a Kawanow patch, it would let the reader know that we ride Nomads rather than to suggest that we are a club of riders called "Nomads". (Does that make sense? Does to me!) Anyways, whatever the group wants is fine with me. :)
Go Canucks!!! Mike

All good points "lomax". I never did like, just Nomads. Just because there is a 1% grp. that calls themselves "the Nomads". I'm easy though and this will be done democratically. I like "Western Canadian Nomad Riders", Canada West Nomad Riders,......it might be time to run a poll.
Are you "ready for the question"? Anymore discussion? I know I said another week, so I'll let this ride a little longer. "rewindgy". thanks for your 2 cents ;) we won't include "late for dinner" ..........................................but is that all you got man?

I'm not sure what you got against "dinner" but I have no real preferance between "WCNR" or "CWNR". Would kinda depend on what it looks like on the patch? The Canada West Nomad Riders may fit better? Don't really know!

I want to direct yours and everyones attention to the thread "Important notice about choosing your regional name" We can't move on till this is decided. Like I said I'll take ideas for actual names once we decide if we want to have the same main name as the Eastern region.

Post the options in a poll Rick and put it to a vote. At the end of the day it's only a name. You can tell I'm upset my parents named me Alan instead of Psychocycle. As far as the east and west name being the same with the exception of the east/west tag, I say whatever each group votes on, I'm good with. Neither group should have to live with the decision of the other unless they like ours better. My only comment is in regards to Canada verses Canadian. Canada refers to a geographic location within the world. Canadian is in reference to our nationality. I also agree that Nomads is a reference to a 1% group of the Hells Angels but in reality that is what we ride, blame Kawasaki for naming their brands.

It's not the name that makes the rider but the riders that makes their names! ???
There's to much energy spent on this ::) I'll go sit on the bike now! |
