Doc, the drink holder is mounted in between the bar risers. I made the mount on the lathe at work and just bolted the drink holder on it.

COBRA TACH
Trip - the only problem I have had is transmission issues. When me and hubbie and another couple went to Americade I could hear everything they said but they could not always hear me.
Contacted J&M and they are telling me adjust this, adjust that etc. Adjustment helped at first some but still some problems. Hubie thinks it may be since he has it hooked up direcetly to the battery which is one way you can do it but not the recommended way. J&M has been very nice and has offered to have me send the unit back if I wish for them to check out....so they stand behind the product and have been very nice. When it works it's great, I plug an MP3 player into it (have the player in a tank bag) and listen to music, when I talk or somebody else transmits the music stops and starts again when transmission stops....pretty cool. Hope this helps. It may be hard to see by my pic below. You see the black line against the yellow background coming from the back of my bike, that is actuaully my antenna.
