IMPORTANT: CHANGE IN THE HOMEBASE HOTEL

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL ATTENDING THE RALLY!!!

THE HOMEBASE HOTEL HAS BEEN CHANGED!!!! CANCEL YOUR RESERVATIONS AND MAKE NEW ONES!!!

The new options are:

Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Prairie du Chien, WI1801 Cabela's Lane, Prairie du Chien WI 53821,
Telephone: 608-326-5700

Best western 37268 US Highway 18, Prairie Du Chien, Wisconsin, 53821-8426
Phone: 608/326-4777

Windsor Place Inn1936 Marquette Road South
Prairie du Chien, WI 53821
Phone 1-608-326-7799

At this very moment (June 6th); the Country Inn and the Best Western have the most rooms available. The Windsor does not have but a few rooms left for that weekend.

I was warned by each that the weekends book-up fast -- so DO NOT HESTITATE TO MAKE YOUR RESERVATIONS TODAY!!

The most basic rooms are around $99 for weekdays; and $109 to $129 for weekends. Be sure to use your AAA; or other discount offers you may have personally to use. The rates will improve.

I realize these hotels are a bit more expensive per night; but they do provide far better accomodations than the previous hotel offered.

THE REASON FOR THE CHANGE:

Given the "leeriness" everyone, including me, had when making reservations made me wonder... enough for me to make a day-trip to PDC to check-out the hotel. I am glad I did. While it used to be an "okay" mom-n-pop hotel operation years ago... it has since “run-down”.

Thus; Dave and I have been talking since yesterday and we have decided to change hotels.

I have made reservations at the Country Inn for myself for the rally. If you decide to; or have to due to limited rooms availability; choose another one of these hotels -- you'll still be relatively close -- as all the hotels are within a mile or two from each other at best.

Depending on which hotel Dave (our Regional Leader) books his room is where all the rides will start from each day -- and where you will CHECK-IN upon arrival to the rally on Thursday afternoon/evening.

I, personally, apologize for the inconvenience this put upon everyone. I feel very bad about it; but felt there was no other choice but to change venues. I hope most of you understand.

For those with additional questions; please send me a PM.

Sincerely,

Greg

IMPORTANT: CHANGE IN THE HOMEBASE HOTEL

I just made reservations at Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Prairie du Chien, WI,1801 Cabela's Lane, Prairie du Chien WI 53821, Telephone: 608-326-5700. We opted for a suite that has a microwave and a fridge. With a "senior" discount for 2 persons, it cost $124.49 plus tax per night.

So sorry that we had to change motels. As you know, Greg was kind enough to go check out the old motel and found it was not what we expected. But you are certainly welcome to stay there anyway as the price was reasonable.

CHECK-IN for your NCR Rally will be at the Country Inn & Suites on Thursday, July 8th, where all the rides will start from each day.

Now... we can look forward to some great riding that weekend. It will certainly be fun to see old friends and make new ones. See you there!! BiscuitsNGravy

Looking into staying at the Super 8 also. Just want to ask if the others staying at the Super 8 chose the one in PDC & how far is it from the rally point location?

You can drive through the entire length of PDC in about 5-minutes if the traffic lights let you.

It sounds like quite a few of you are choosing the Super 8. It is more toward the south-end of town; and the Country Inn is just outside the north-end.

We'll have to make sure to meet up at night to have a couple.

Made reservations at the Super 8 & wife mentioned that they have no pool I replied we will be too busy riding & making new friends. She later agreed but did mention that there is a shuttle for the casino from the hotel my reply was only if it rains will we be going there LOL She knows better & enjoys riding almost as much as I do so I know she was just kidding.
We started our count down today. Our vacation starts on July 2nd. 3 weeks & counting
