Sky Valley Antique Motorcycle Show

I just thought I would mention this once again, as it is only about one month from now and if it's anything like last year, won't be very well advertised. The Sky Valley Antique Motorcycle Show is scheduled for downtown Everett on Sunday May 15. I emailed the event coordinator a few months ago and that's what he told me anyways.

The City of Everett closes off about four blocks of Colby Ave and the connecting side streets for a great motorcycle show. There will be lots of old bikes, vendors, live music and tons of bikes and bikers. There will be lots of three-piece patches represented here, but have no worries, this is a very cool event attended by everyone who enjoys riding. It's like a mini Oyster-Run with the same parking principle.

It would be great, weather permitting, to get together for breakfast someplace then ride on in. This event takes place about 10 minutes from my house....so it is very handy for me! Mark your calendars and drop me a note if you would like to hook up before-hand.

I remember you telling me that awhile back....but I hope the weather is good enough that maybe Rickyboy can ride down....and a few other locals might like to hook up. It really is a great bike event!

On the front page of The Herald this morning was an article about this show. It has been cancelled for 2011 for lack of funding and sponsorship. There were several factors involved, but they are hoping for a return of the show in 2012. Bummer…..clear your calendar.
