LOWER NAZARETH TWP., Pa. -- WEB ONLY -- A motorcyclist was hurt Wednesday night after he struck a coyote that had wandered into the roadway.
Michael Kalinchock, 25, was driving on 33 South near Route 248 in Lower Nazareth Township, Northampton County just before 11:30 when a coyote walked onto the road.
Kalinchock hit the coyote and was thrown from his bike, and his bike skidded 500 feet down the road.
He was take to St. Luke's Hospital, and his injuries were described as moderate.
There is no word on his condition.

He must have been moving at a good clip to slide 500 feet.

That's what I thought. 500 feet is along way even if you were going down hill.

Ouch, You never know what is lurking out there when you ride at night and I find it is easy to out drive your lights.
