New Seats

Schoeney I have the grasshopper backrest but I didn't put it on cause I would have to modify the bracket some. Needs to be bent some so to lay down by top of my new seat. Can I do this...yes, I just didn't want to fool with it cause I wanted to get riding! I beleive just a little tweaking in the vice and it will work. Now each seat fron Russell Day Long is different so you might not have to adjust your bracket.

I have. BMWs tend to be tall bikes and when short riders get Day Longs, it put the seat too high. I have read about a few that sent the seat back a few times, still not happy, but these were people with inseams shorter than 30" on a bike that is taller than any cruiser.

You could have gotten a backrest from Russell.

And that is why form over function never works.

I'd like to have a 1886 in 50-110, but I settled for a 444. Shoots better anyway. ;)

With riding two up I felt that I had no use for a backrest. Wife provides ample backrest support!

Then no need to worry about the grasshopper. I never liked a backrest. Makes me feel locked into one position and trapped.
