Why on earth wouldn't you at least wear GLOVES???? When I crashed, I had gloves on and just ended up with a couple of slightly skinned knuckles. They also kept my wristwatch from getting scraped up. I hate to think what my hands would have looked like with no gloves on.

They were lucky and with no opposing traffic they dodged a bullet that time. There is something surreal about seeing a big bike go down with close up pictures or video - you can't fathom the energy force coming down uncontrolled like that. It's hard to watch but you can't turn away either.
