Vaquero license plate and turn signals

I'm sure I've seen some pictures on here of some replacement and conversions of license plates and rear turn signals on the 1700's. I haven't taken mine off yet to look closer, but it appears the bolt pattern is spread out. So what did you do, and how does it look?

Thanks for any pointers.
-Jay

Thinking about replacing the bag reflectors with something for turn and run lights and just chop the set up, powdercoat and have a brake\plate light dealeeo.

Might want to read up on that before you begin. (I think it was jestephens.) Apparently, there's no way to get to the inside of the light without cutting the inner door.
