January 2013 - Sin City Stan's '04 Nomad
Sin City Stan writes:
This is my 2004 Nomad on Las Vegas Blvd. It really is LV Blvd.. Just 15 miles south of LV by a small town Airport in Jean, NV. Jean consists of a casino, two gas stations, a woman’s prison, post office, airport, NHP substation and a town hall. The road is still named LV Blvd. and is the old highway to Los Angeles. There was a time the only way to Las Vegas from the west was this road. About two miles south of these pictures the highway disappears into time in wash. The bike has been extensively modified by the previous owner. The engine was bored to 1600 CC. 10 to 1 pistons and aftermarket cam, Thunder intake and V&H exhaust rounded out the engine. Chrome?? Yes there is chrome. It would probably be easier to list what is not chrome but here goes. Passenger & driver footrests, shifter, the rear brake was cut, modified and welded to place it lower and then it was chromed. Kury handgrips, brake and clutch reservoirs are chromed HD units. The lowers were made from aluminum and yes they were chromed also. Right and left side covers, drive shaft cover, front axle caps, caliper covers, fender tips, license plate bracket, Kury crash bar footrests, and finally the trunk bracket. I’m sure I missed something but you get the idea. The brake and clutch lines are not chrome but custom stainless steel. All the turn signals have clear lenses with amber bulbs. The back of the trunk has a LED light bar with brake and turn signals. A throttle lock, WW tires and Progressive shocks round it out. The clock is now at 18K miles and the engine has a little less than 2K mikes. When the engine work was done the whole bike was gone through from bearings to brakes. Lots of years left in this 2004. thanks Login or Register to Remove Ads |

I had the privilege of riding with him and his lovely wife from LV to St. George on the way to Kanab. His bike sounds as tough as it looks! I knew better than to do a roll on with him! Beautiful Bike!

Love the color and the set-up, just don't care for WW tires.
