I dont think the 1600 floorboard mount is the same as the 1700. I know for a fact the floorboards are different. The 1700's have a smaller pivot pin than the 1600's.

I got the relocation kit AND the spacers needed for V&H pipes and installed them last night. They are well made and do exactly as advertised. The boards are a half inch out farther from the mid line, about two inches forward and lower. The boards are angled about 10 degrees toe up. The extenders are of high grade aluminum and are very well machined and chromed. All of the hardware fit well and is of high grade stainless steel.

My chief tester put them through the wringers yesterday and agreed that they make the back seat ride more comfortable. She said that the outward extension made it a little easier to board the bike. I thought she would complain about the angled boards during load but she didn't say a thing. She liked the angled board once on saying she felt as if she had "something to press on". Her sitting posture is a little more natural with legs wider open and forward, ankles in a neutral position.

The boards when stowed are no issue to the driver but I can see where I may get a bruise or two to the back of my calf before I get a new habit. It seemed easier to raise the boards with a heel kick.

All in all, a great little investment in passenger comfort. They are easy to install and ought to last quite awhile.

Glad to hear they work for you. If I had anyone to carry around, I would be interested in a set.

Did that days ago. No response. I'd like a set also. I'm trying to do business with him.

I tried several avenues, but what I wound up having to do was send an email to his email ParsonsDJ@Bellsouth.net from my acutual gmail account. Just send him a direct email from your personal account. He responded in less than a day and the whole transaction was quick and simple.

Just bought a set from Mr. Parsons, thanks to your assistance with his personal Email address. He was a pleasure to do business with, and pretty prompt. I'm guessing that he simply doesn't scan this forum much. If anyone is interested, he said to pass the info around regarding availability of a few more sets. He seems to be a real gentleman. Thanks again friends.
