well it's official
Well it's official the nomad is up for sale! Went to local bike show last week and well fell in love with the vaquero!!! Hell even the wife approved and well that is the biggest hurdle her actual words after speaking with the salesmen was well.................... are you buying it? Excellent first step towards new purchase. What are your thoughts out there he has 3 different vaquero's that he has offered me 1st is a 2013 with the flat black finish and a small set of apes (approx. 8") keep in mind this is Canada for 17,000$ 2nd bike is a brand new 0 km 2011 in candy fire red with full warrantee for 14,000$ or a 2011 same color used with 7,000 km for 11,500$. As far as I can tell there are no differences from the 11 to the 13 but maybe some more experienced guys here to point out some differences even if they are subtle. Leaving for florida on Thursday morning looking to rent a bike to head over to bike week for a day and when I get back really hoping to have a decision made.

Me, I'd do the 0 km 2011 bike. The red is nice. But if you could talk him down $1 or $1.5K on the flat black . . . .

I agree, I have an 11 and love it, this bike totally exceeded my expectations and it turns heads wherever I go, great price too. I would go for the new one, nothing like new.

Spring is fast approaching, I would make a decision before you leave and put a deposit down, nothing like getting back from vacation and finding the one you decided on has been sold.

Red ones are the fastest......
I do like the looks of the flat black ones though. Sounds to me like you can't go wrong. Decide which one you like better. |

I presently have a 03 nomad jandreu and love this bike hence why I have not let all my riding buddies convince me to buy a streetglide. This is my 2 Kawasaki and have had no issues whatsoever with any of them first one was a Vulcan this one a nomad next one a vaquero. If wife did not have her own bike I would probably be leaning towards a voyager for the extra space and comfort but riding solo 99% of the time vaquero it is.
I was surprised nobody chimed up about any differences so am I to assume that there are no differences between the 2011 and the 2013? |

Does the 2013 come with ABS? If it did, I'd gravitate toward the flat black, just my two cents. Good luck with the entire process and enjoy your new bike. |
