O.K., I've got to ask. Where is the front bevel gear located? I looked at the exploded pic but it seems to include a lot of other stuff!?

I ride everyday rain or shine, I go fracking insane without my bike.

It hasn't been quite a week yet and I am already losing it.

Its at the back of the motor on the LH side where the driveshaft connects to the engine.

Exclamation Mark Update

BINGO

It was the Bevel Gear Bearing making the noise.

So if you start to hear a noise that can best be described as your brake pads rubbing, but there is nothing wrong with them, get your bevel gear checked.

Luckily it was caught in time to be a simple bearing replacement as apposed to an entire engine meltdown, sorry Mark, I sure am glad I read through your post though.

The dealership here is waiting on approval from Kawi for the warranty work now.

And as a bonus due to the diaphragm spring failing, and my clutch plates getting "glazed" they are also trying to get the clutch job fixed under warranty as well

I am liking this dealer.
