Haven't been on here much, just wanted to share my work in progress

I was fortunate to find this 2011 Vaquero last summer. Slowly but surely she will be transformed. To date I have cleaned up the ass end, made mini apes, blacked out some parts. I have a chopped tour pack that I will be installing as well as stretching the bags. I will post those projects as they occur. Just wish I had more time to get her done!

LOOKING GOOD!!!!!!! It is a bummer when that thing called "work" gets in the way.

Looks great. I'm about to clean up the rear on my Vaquero this weekend. Amazing the difference it makes. How does one "stretch the bags?"

Local dealer still has a 2011 black vaquero on the floor. Can't believe it hasn't sold.

Have a local stealership that still has one as well. Doesn't help that it is priced $1,000 -above- SRP. That is why I drove for ten hours to a dealer that priced my baby over $3k below SRP. I would say that made the trip worthwhile!

I did the same. Drove about 3 hours away to steal this one for $11,000 with only 700 miles on her.

What are you doing for rear turn signals? I'm still looking for inspiration.

They are slim LED lights between the bags and fender, only see them when they are lit.

That's what I was wondering - now that I'm subscribed I hope to find out. Keep up the good work.

Fiberglass work is how we will stretch the bags. Basically make a mold and extend the entire bottom of the bag including the door to mold around the exhaust. It will be a very time consuming job which is why I haven't done it yet. A winter project for sure, when that white stuff is in my driveway!

I was going to say Elvis, ... too bad "retro5" still has snow in mid June.
The bike looks nice. !!

I have been keeping an eye out for a good, cheap priced Vaquero. I'm not sure I have the room at the new place to store/keep it, with the three snowmobiles and now, with the Nomad soon to be stored there.
After Bdog's visit a few weeks back, he got me thinking about enclosing both the carport and the quonset/pole barn.
