Road trip

My wife works as a contractor for NASA but has never been to Houston to see Mission Control at the Johnson Space Center or the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville. We are off to both sites for a work (for her) and enjoyment trip (for me).

Anyone have any suggestions as to local places to visit or must see rides at either location? We will be in Huntsville over the 4th.

35-40 min South of Houston is the Kemah Boardwalk. A nice ride but has some traffic. They have amazing seafood and steaks and they have oceanside views and a large ferris wheel. Been a few years since I left Houston so I cant say whats up there now but I loved it. Visit www.kemahboardwalk.com for info.
When leaving Kemah, you can go south towards Galveston Bay and hit the beach and ride for miles and miles on the seawall. It Texas you can ride on certain beaches...carefully. Good luck.

If you do, go to the aquairum, and have a bowl of seafood gumbo, it's great. It is on the boardwalk. When you get to Galveston, on I45, take the 61st street exit, and turn right. Go to the end( the water) turn right and you can go 40 miles along the Gulf Of Mexico, with only 3 redlights, all on hwy 3002,the blue water hwy.
Call me if I can be of any help

Well, made it to Huntsville. Then got told we had to leave campground because it was going to flood and we would be trapped. Punted and heading back to Georgia. It's pouring.
