Removing clutch spring - need some help

I am replacing the clutch spring. I am at the point of removing the 27mm nut.
I need solution for the following problem: as I try turn my wrench (with extension bar) the bike moves. I have the bike in 1st gear.
is there a service position anywhere to insert a pin to prevent the clutch from turning?

thx

I believe the trick involves sticking a penny in the gear train to jam it. Check the Gadget page.

I used a battery powered impact wrench, worked great.

I am using gadget's instructions. Does not say anything about inserting a penny between gears...

My compressor is out of order and stops pumping at 60psi so my air tools are useless tonight...

On Gadgets instruction page for the clutch removal, the is a link that gives instructions on what to do if you dont have an impact. But the impact makes it Sooo much easier. I just finished mine and only spent about 2 hrs doing it. But read up on this page: http://oldsarge.tripod.com/clutch_sp...eplacement.htm

thx. I used the penny now the clutch spins independently. jammed 8 bolts between the plates. still spins (much harder though).
I am going to wrap it up for tonight and I will get electric impact wrench tomorrow.

Power tools work like magic! Fixed my compressor, and I was able to undo the nut.

Try to get an impact gun, it makes it a very simple job.
