I was tooling along on hiway #2 in west/central nebraska, a couple years ago..just a couple day's befor the Sturges Rally was scheduled to begin..(I was just east of Thedford Nebr)..cant remember the name of the 'wide spot town I stopped in..as a massive BLACK thunder storm blotted out the daylight (aprox 1:pm)...I had been able to see that storm building as I traveled west for a 100 miles..so I pulled in to a sheltered place to wait it out...as hundred's of bikers went sailing right on west bound..into the teeth of that monster...
After the storm passed (an hour or so)..I got back on the road..and between there and Thedford ..30 miles...I found hail a couple inches deep along the road -tho already just wet road. after the time it took me to get there...and bikers laying all along the road for several miles "road rashed".."hail beat", and damn near drowned, from the rain that had come with the hail !..vehicle traffic was all stopped, and lined up ..due to the fury of the storm, and the mass of downed biker's...
I alway's wonder why folks will see such a massive storm ..clearly coming right at them..and yet continue right into it ! ??

Rasta... the winds you speak of came through here in the middle of the night. My neighborhood has a fair amount of damage. Trees down, pieces of houses torn-off.

My larger garage door is caved-in about 3 inches to where it will not open. I have downspouts torn-off the house. A chair and a few other yard items are completely missing. My neighbor's basketball hoop setup was tossed several yards into the side of my house.

Haven't quite finished the inventory of damage, but the obviously the winds must have been straight-line winds to cause that kind of damage.

The weather forecast for next week in MV, AR doesn't look great unfortunately.

Hope your damage wasn't too extensive. The day before I left for the National Rally last June we had a storm that took down one of my trees and took out my power. I had to have an electrician reconnect my power and one of my riding buddies cut up my tree while I was on the road to Colorado. Had to keep my priorities straight!!

I think he is trying to tell you to not even think about missing the rally Greg!! But seriously sorry to hear about the damage to you and your neighborhood. The only thing I lost was the flag on my house was ripped off the house. Guys from public works at my job were called in after the winds to go around town and remove trees and branches blocking the roads. I had a coworker that had a tree that was uprooted and fell on his house. Luckily damage was not as bad as would have thought. Story is round two is coming tonight.

Be safe Amin, keep your head down around there. I saw the video Sam was talking about. The village it hit was demolished.
Hope everyone makes it through safely....

Am home now. Garage door is totaled. Siding damage, roof damage, and missing furniture -- but that damned ugly gazebo my neighbor has is still standing! Geez... At least it could have taken that out also.

Adjusters will not even come to look at my house until next week while I am gone. I am going to have to have a neighbor escort them around the place, since I have a security system and the place will be locked-up tight.

I guess the adjusters are running all over the lower-half of Wisconsin from the wind damage and tornadoes that hit across that area. Compared to them, we got off lucky.

Rasta... I won't be missing the rally, unless another storm takes the house off its foundation. Then I'll just be later than expected. I would have to take the time to rent another bike.

Sorry to hear you guys are experiencing severe weather and damage. The main thing is to be safe, all else can be fixed.
Take care.

We had a bad thunderstorm here around 6pm last night, with a tornado about twenty miles from here, but it doesn't seem as bad as what some of you fellas had.
