GoPro

[Rasta]

For those of you with the GoPro camera system, where did you mount the mounting pad on the helmet? I wear a 3/4 helmet and it seems to capture part of the visor, on the picture when the visor is up. If you have pictures that would help greatly.

Maybe if you mounted the gopro on the side of the helmet you might miss the visor.

I have been waiting to hear from you Cliff since I know you have the helmet mounted cameras! I was going to send you a message on FB to ask you. Any way, that's where I was going to mount it and have the mounts you posted but that's where it is catching part of the visor. I will try it again and if it doesn't work will try it on top.

When I had my Nomad, I mounted the Go Pro on the clutch fluid reservoir, it worked like a charm. I use to have it on my helmet, but I had better results when using it on the bike.

I prefer to mount the camcorder on the handle bars also. I believe that when Blowndodge still had his Nomad he mounted the GoPro on one of the reservoirs also, with good results.

I'd think your helmet would feel lopsided if you mounted it to one side. What about a sticky mount to the back side of the windscreen?

Thanks guys. I went ahead and did what Vulcanguy suggested since I had the other mount, which is the flat surface mount. I risers on my bar so the handle bar shakes a lot at idle so didn't think it would work but when you are going down the road it is ok so I think it will be ok.
