Mutazu trunk speakers

Has anyone been able to add speakers to a Mutazu trunk? They open forward so the typical location for speaker pods wouldn't work. I saw someone switch the hinges and make it open sideways, not sure if that would leave enough clearance. I am talking about this trunk.

If it open forward and hits the seat you may not have room for pods back there. You could go with top mount speakers from an old GL1200 Wing or Voyager. Something like these and add your own speakers to the inside. You would have to search for the rear speakers on eBay.

I think they offer trunks set up for speakers . . . See this eBay listing - Options $30 more gives you speaker pockets for 4" speakers . . .

They do but those speakers go inside. Trunk too small as it is, if I take up any more space inside it'll be useless. Was thinking getting a set that clamps on handlebars and clamp them to the top of the rack instead. Would look pretty stupid IMHO though..

Hey ACDC, Here is a website that carries several small motorcycle speakers. This is what I have mounted on my trunk. They work fine and have been mounted for 2 years now. The web is: www.sharkmotorcycleaudio.com. PS, I have the same trunk mounted on my 2001 Nomad.

Thanks was considering clamping a pair of those on top of my trunk rack. Would prefer to find a way to mount 5.25" or even 6.5" speaker for some serious sound :)
