Question about VRA/VBA joint rally

The info says if you are not planning on participating in the meal plan you should still attend the after breakfast gathering.
Is this just to socialize or to break up into groups if you want.
I have a 285 mile, 7 hour minimum ride planed for Cindy and I, just wondering what time the after breakfast gathering will take place so I have time to get that ride in before dark.
We all know when the GPS says the ride is 7 hours you can count on at least 10 hours with stops.

It was intended for pre-ride meetings and breaking up into groups if desired. Of course if you are planning a long haul like you guys are then you may want to skip it.
