08 Nomad 1600 Passenger Back rest
I am looking for a stock/OEM Passenger sissy bar/back rest with pad.
I purchased my nomad with a trunk already installed. I plan to remove it but I do not have the back rest/sissy bar to install in its place. I am unable to find this part anywhere on the web. The woman will not be happy without a back rest. :) I also have a thread posted in looking for to get some assistance in where to look for this part. Thanks Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Yes a lot cheaper but not an OEM one for the Nomad bikes like the other one! Myself I have a standard OEM for my 03 Classic and the luggage rack off a Nomad rest. Had to drill two new holes on the rack brackets but it works great and strong mount too. I used stainless bolts and nylock nuts on it. If he looks around I am sure he can find a very reasonable one that can be adapted to his Nomad unless he is a diehard for oem Nomad parts only.

disclaimer.... I DO NOT work for this outfit. But, on several occassions recently have done business with them. Fair prices, prompt shipping
www.bikestrippers.com Have found their search function to be pretty accurate. Though you might want to try "nomad" or "vulcan", but not both terms together in the search function. Looks to me like you can buy the pieces to assemble your passenger backrest for about $250.00.

What are you going to do with the trunk and does it have a backrest on it?
I may be interested in trading mine for the trunk. Let me know. |
