About 5 minutes. Remove the screws from existing shield and mount new shield.

I did mine in less than 3 min. Rest assured I am no mechanic. Just removed some screws put the new one on. You will see them in the front. If I said 2 min that might be more accurate. Its probably the most rewarding upgrade. I got the 10 inch and wow what a diff. I'd go 1 tiny bit bigger on the next one if this one cracks or something, but I rode it 5K miles with the better glass and what a HUGE DIFF. You wont be sorry and they are cheap. I got mine on Amazon.
