A little off topic, but on the weekend I was visiting my bro-in-law on Vancouver island and we were browsing through an old second hand record & CD store. My BIL came across an old Ian & Sylvia LP from 1962, their very first album, I believe. He wasted no time snapping it up. If you come out this way I can take you to High River where they film Heartland (a Canadian TV series that is very popular overseas as well) and Fargo. AMC's Hell on Wheels has been filmed around the Calgary area as well and much of the Golden Globes Awards winning Revenant.

I have that album as well as several of their others on vinyl. I've also got a couple of CDs. He put out a solo CD a few years ago that is very good. I also read his book and after doing so gained a new regard for him. When he and Sylvia first moved to southern California to pursue their careers he registered for our military draft. While most thought he was foolish his rationale was that if he was going to enjoy the fruits of living in the US he should put himself at it's disposal. Fargo was filmed in Canada? I had no idea. And to think I drove through Fargo to Brainerd a few years ago looking for that stupid Paul Bunyan statue. I'll give you a couple of weeks heads up before I head up into the Great White North.
