The custom bike is not my cup of tea but you can see a ton on work went into it.

It was just repairs, instigated by the fact the dealer scratched my tank pretty badly when they were in the process of tightening my fork bearings. It was a bit of an argument between me and them; but finally they saw it my way and had it taken care of. At the same time, I had a couple other smaller scratches and dings repaired also. Ultimately, I have a great dealership to work with, despite our initial differences on the paint issue.

Regarding the custom bike, I realize they are not for everyone. I happen to like this one, since I like the board-tracker look. They did do a ton of work on it.

Welcome aboard Rookie. Check out the North Central Region (NCR) rally in Hillsboro, WI this coming summer. There is an informational link on the NCR board section. Otherwise ask if you cannot find it.

Every other year, each region has a rally for members of the region. These rallies are typically smaller groups of members getting together to ride the area of the rally and to sit around and shoot the sh!t in the evening. These rallies are typically informal in nature.

On the alternate years there is a VBA National Rally; whereby a larger group of people from all over the U.S. get together to meet and ride. That will be next year, someplace yet to be announced.

Lastly, you can go to any regional rally you care to attend. There are no restrictions on whether you are from that region or not. Some people have attended several regional rallies in a particular year. I will be attending a couple of them this year myself.

Big change in weather today! I see central MN even got some snow after 58 degrees yesterday. Windy & rain here now.

I didn't get out because my driveway (1/2 mile of gravel) turned muddy with the frost coming out.

Hey Greg - I like those custom bikes as well. Like a lot of things, I don't want to own one but sure would like a test ride!

Got out Friday for about 160 or mile ride. It was sunny and about 50F. Yesterday went on a 230 mile ride and it was a great day with temp in low 70F. Today rode to into Missouri and back for about 220 miles. Cloudy starting here but once in southern Iowa it was sunny and in the 40's. By the time I got back home, it was cold and strong winds from the north. Expecting snow mix for tomorrow night

My Saturday ride was great. 3 of us left the cities and headed North and did a loop of Mille Lacs Lake, which covers over 132,000 acres and is locally known as "The Walleye Factory".
Temps ranged from 40 - 63 degrees with a light SW wind and lots of sunshine. Put on around 260 miles and the new bike felt much better after getting a few miles on her, everything works as it should. Then Sunday it was snowing, WTF.

Went on a nice little ride yesterday and had a great breakfast at a St. Paul institution. Bike goes in for it's 500 mile service this coming Saturday.
