administrator changing passwords

Hey everybody. Has anyone ever received an email stating that their password has been changed by an administrator with no reason given and then tried using the new password that the administrator has given them and been unable to log in at all and now can't even log into the forum to find out what is going on. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

If Vertical Scope owns this forum, they got hacked a few months ago and everyone's email, password, and IP address has been taken. Millions of users, all of VS's database. Possibly other forums, but I'm only aware of VS owned forums. Supposedly 6th largest hack in history. It would be wise to change your passwords to vital accounts like online banking if they share the same email and password info you use for forums.

I had that happen on two other Kawasaki forums yesterday but the new passwords I was given did work for me to log on and change them myself.

Beartooth Kawasaki's forum wouldn't allow me to sign in this AM (no e-mail) but the Volusia Riders sent me an e-mail and I was able to use it to get in and re-set my password. Some of the forums are up-grading their password criteria so you might expect a administrator issued password via your sight e-mail.
