I had a 1955 Norton Dominator and a 71 Commando when I lived in the U.K.
A mate of mine in the U.K still has a Triton. For those that don't know what a Triton is it is a Norton fitted with a Triumph engine. They were the bike to own in the 60's and 70's. I fitted a Triumph Thunderbird engine in my 55 Dominator for a while. That is not a true Triton by purists standards. The engine most desirable was a Bonneville engine with 2 carbs.

None of those look anything like the 74' 850 Commando I had. Nice pics though Mick. Even the one with the brother. :)

My friend with the Triton came to my mums place today in Stockport, Cheshire.
I had to hold the throttle and keep it running while he put his helmet on. Nostalgic yes, but a pain in the ar*e to ride these old bikes. The last time I rode his Triton I had oil all over my shoes. Give me a Japanese bike any day. |

I did use a different car company who tried to screw me royally.
Enterprise, we'll fu*k you up. They tried to charge me double saying I had booked the car without any insurance. How can you book a rental car with no insurance whatsoever ? Anyway long story short, I got it sorted after about a week of being here and paid the original price. Never again. |
