Does Ivans Flash take out the quirky jerky throttle response at 25-30 mph? That`s what I still don`t like about this bike. I have tri-ovals, air, and processer with ignition. Fuel and Timing has been added up to 2700 rpms. Runs Awesome under acceleration and country cruising. No popping on decal, just hard to control at low speeds when around that 2000 rpms because of the fuel shutting off. A couple of Harleys I have ridden surge at lower speeds too. I think that`s because the rear cylinder shuts off fuel and spark at idle. My old 1500 was so smooth at town speeds, easy to control.

Greetings,

I am not sure, however, do believe that Ivan has eliminated the fuel cut off at 1900 RPM. Items 2 number on his information page has details.

Ride safe,
BTW: I liked the IVAN so much, the second Vaq is getting IVANized next week!

Yes, the flash eliminates it very much. Another option to fix that is RayCNC's throttle mod. Replace your current grips, he has modified the cam inside it so that issue is resolved and throttle response is better. Threads on Ray's mod are here, he is a good guy.

Ivan's flash does much much more, and of course costs more. Ray's throttle mod costs less but does solve that particular issue you ask about but doesnt fix the decel pop and doesn't fix the get up and go at lower rpm's. The lower rpm changes are awesome, you can run in 6th at 70 now and twist and it just goes...rather than lugging.

I have Ray's throttle mod. Have had it for 30,000 miles. Just took it off. Thought that might help the low speed driving. It's about the same. Throttle mod was to take out the lag on acceleration. Mine doesn't lag anymore because of advanced timing.May have to try the flash .Undecided right now.
