You'll need to remove the gas tank. Once that's done all will become clear. Don't be scared, it's actually pretty easy to do - takes 5-10 minutes.

I just changed mine on my Voyager.

Had to remove the bottom support bracket under the radiator.
I unplugged the Rectifiers and swung the bracket out of the way.
Removed the hose from bottom of Radiator (Held pan for fluid up high, as close as I could and still be able to get my hand in there to remove the hose. Fluid will gush out straight down as well as forward. The hose you pull off will shoot quite a bit of fluid - watch your eyes.)

Remove gas tank - Rad cap is under there.

Flush with clean water a couple times reattaching hose at bottom each time. (Several run the engine up to temp, let it cool and reflush again) Very time consuming.

Also - remove the overflow tank from behind the Kickstand side sidecover - empty and flush it out.

The Maint manual calls for 50/50 mix of coolant - I have used both Engine Ice as well as the pre-mix 50/50 from the autoparts (Prestone).

The Voyager took 2.5 quarts in the engine and several ounces in the over flow tank.

Note - these steps are covered in the Maintenance Manual and not the Owners Manual.

Hope that helps.

If the coolant is dirty an excellent flush is a 50/50 mix of distilled water and white vinegar.
You can even run the engine with this in to flush everything. Just be sure to flush this out good with distilled water.
