I tried your link and for some reason it doesn't show the Nomad pumps and parts as when I Google their name. Just Google as I told you when you first questioned what I said and you're there. Enter bike info and it works just fine.

Yep, just find a fram or wix metal inline filter, insert it wherethe old filter was.
The 2006 1600's take a HFP-384-K3, the same pumps for the 1500's.....

What are the differences between a 2005 and earlier Kawasaki Nomad 1600 and a 2006 and later Kawasaki Nomad 1600?

tried a google search and could find nothing. Would have thought they were essentially the same bike other than color changes. if the changes are too many what are the main changes.

It's not that hard to do. I probably had the tank off my '07 15 times over the years I had it. Once you've done it, it's a 5 minute job to remove the tank.

Yea Tortuga, when I have to perform surgery on the tank, I get a big deep cookie tray, kinda thing you could cook a turkey in that I use exclusively for the tanks, it has 2 pieces of carpet covered wood that I mounted in it, holds it off the bottom, i have carpet (cheap indoor/outdoor automotive carpet epoxied along the sides of pan, too) on it too.
I flip tank over, if it drains, the pan catches it. I can then remove, pump or whatever I need to replace....
