Posting videos

Why is it that when I try to open a video that someone has posted they wont open.

Same thing when I copy and paste a link to a video I want to paste on the forum. All that shows up on the forum is a blank square.

I have Windows 10/Internet Explorer 11 on a new laptop.

I have found that videos don’t play for me either when using IE.
If I use chrome browser they work fine
I don’t see anything in my settings on IE that wouldn’t allow the video to play.
