Need Help With Connection: LED/Daymaker 4.5 Aux Light Install
Recently bought a kit that has a 7" LED headlight and two 4.5 Auxiliary LED lights. The headlight connection was easy because it had the 3 prong, H4 plug which went into the factory connector perfectly. Works fine. The auxiliary lights have the 2 pin, H8 style connector on them. So I plugged these into the factory H8 receptacles in each side of the fairing. Plugged in my OEM accessory light switch from Kawasaki to the 2 prong connector in the fairing near where the switch is mounted in the accessory hole (left side). Lights do not turn on. I tried them with the bike running, made sure the hi-beams were off and the accessory switch is on. I get nothing.
Any ideas what I might be doing wrong? Any idea if there is a separate fuse for the accessory headlight circuit I can check? Wondering if these aux lights need to be used with a ballast or voltage regulator like some of those HID kits use. Unfortunately they didn't come with instructions and I've so far been unable to reach the sellers. Stumped!

The factory fog lights will light up with on both, accessory and/or igniton on.
Engine running, can but not a must. High beam not needed. That is the factory wiring for the factory lights on the voyager. Do you want them wired that way or only as addional high beam lights ? Connected to the correct polarity ? LED need correct ground and "plus" wired, where a normal/standard buld doesnt care. Is one of the factory wiring grounded ? Normally no ballast or regulators needed for LED. Just checked the manual and there is only the mainfuse for and another 10A for the headlight, but found nothing for the fog lights. Cu, Sven

I am just looking to get them to light up.
I am using the factory accessory plugs coming off the bike's harness to connect the lights. These are the same harnesses/plugs that the Kawasaki optional light kit plugs into.

I would test the lights with a couple jumper wires from the battery (or other known power source). If they light up you know the lights are good, if it don't light up, switch your wires going to the bulb, if it lights then, you will need to switch your wires in the H8 harness. LED lights do have to be wired a certain way, one side is positive, the other is negative, if you light doesn't light after switching the wires, then I would guess the light is bad, but it being 2 lights, I doubt you got 2 bad lights.

Thanks to everyone who offered help. Much appreciated.
Turns out these lights do, in fact require canbus led/hid adapters. Apparently the headlight has these electronics built into the housing, but the 2 auxiliary lights do not. Ordered a quality pair online and installed them last night. Everything works beautifully. 20180218_145647.jpg

Good to know. Guess I need to figure out where my 12v power supply is after the house remodel so I can test mine before I put them in.
