EJK tuner
Just installed the EJK on my Vaquero.. I cant believe what I was missing , I love the performance and the decal popping gone by 98%.. Either my cobra tuner wasn't working or The whole product is junk.. Wires are long enough to Velcro to the tank bit until the tuning is done
settings so far GRN 2.5 cruising/idle YELLOW 4.0 acceleration RED 1.5 full throttle GRN/BLUE 1.0 switch point ..adds fuel on idle and rpms (reduce popping) YLLW/BLUE 2.5 RED/BLUE 3.5 Still tweaking.. Its a whole different bike.. :)

I used the EKJ on my 01 Nomad and it worked very well . Mike07nad explained the best way of setting it up . I used this procedure and was very pleased with the outcome . Read post #10 n this thread .

The method Ridefree posted is a good one. I would only add that you should get the green set first, then the yellow, and finally the red. Each one depends on the one before it. Then concentrate on setting the timing for when each kicks in.
I have Chucksters BAK and stock pipes. My settings are: G 1.5, Y 1.5, R 1.5, GB 5, YB 3.5. RB 2.5 I'm not looking to eek out every drop of performance, just for it to run good and strong and accelerate hard when needed. I was also looking to cool the engine down some by not running factory lean. The EJK provides all that. Setting GB lower may give a bit more low end power, but at the expense of gas mileage. It may also reduce or eliminate your popping. GB is where the EJK starts to change the injection profile by injecting the G level of fuel. There is no change from stock below that point. I am very happy with the EJK. If I had known about Ivan's before I bought the EJK, I might have gone that route, but I can't see doing that now having already spent the money on the EJK. |

I liked my EJK. It worked very well... I like Ivan's flash a whole lot better. Here is the best place for a perfectly serviceable EJK. Hanging on a nail, covered with cobwebs, in a corner of the workshop.

Hey Peg in this post above mine you state if I read it right that you have had the second update on your ECU. Sound like your saying you are sending it back a third time?
Now this is new to me or am I reading this wrong. Is a third program update to ECU coming out or have you not sent it into have the second one done yet? I am confused.

Hi Dave...
I had my ECU flashed in March '16, sent it back for an update in May '17, and just missed Ivan's newest C4B flash. I'm going to send it back for that soon, but it's still riding season down here, so I'll wait until I feel I can do without the bike for the 2 weeks + it takes to ship it out & back.
