Mate,we aint going to start another one of those long winded threads, are we. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Maxxis-M6...19.m1438.l2649 Around 5000m.And i reckon i got about 2000m more out of it than i should have. The thing that surprised me,was the way the bike handled with a bald tyre.It was so unstable, that it felt like it had a rubber frame.Interesting though

Not really mate. It's a totally different way of riding in England. We dont get on the bike, and hit the cruise control as we leave the drive. We have,or at least where i live, have winding country roads. It's all accelerating & braking.Without taking the piss, i have done a back tyre in less than 2000m.I have tried all the most expensive tyres on the market. And i dont think i got more than 5000m out of any of them.

I'm surprised it made it to the change-out. Must've been puckered the last 500m or so.

I knew it was bald, and i ride them all down to that. But this tyre had lost so much of its strength, that it felt like i was just riding on an inner tube.I had put the "interesting" handling, down to worn headrace,or swinging arm bearings, and was about to check them, when i saw the state of it.It seems that once the rubber gets so thin,it just peels off.And that can happen in only a few miles.Anyway,a lesson learned. I towed the trailer at 70mph the day before.DONT try this at home children.
