Thanks. I'm hoping to take my maiden voyage this afternoon once it quits raining. I don't mind too much riding in the rain (unless I need to be presentable when I get where I'm going) but since I've never ridden this particular bike before, I want to get used to it before I ride in messy weather.

Here are a few quick pics. The bike really needs to be buffed out. I don't have a garage down here but I have a cover on order. If I can find one of those plastic sheds for cheap, I might buy 1 just to put this in. It won't give me enough room to work on it but at least it would keep the bike out of the rain and occasional snow/ice (not that we get much of that down here).
The biggest issue I see is the rear of the tank where the front of the seat rubbed through the paint. Not sure if having the tank repainted or getting a tank bra would be cheaper. I suppose I can just touch up the paint so it doesn't rust. There's a spot on the right side of the tank (white color) that was "fixed" by a previous owner and not very well. Enjoy. (I do. )

I like the color scheme! Tank bib would be OK in my minds eye. As for the white, a little re-touching when you have the tank off should be easy enough.
I'd be pulling the tank to look for the wire-loom protector around the ignition switch, checking the plugs, general cleaning and inspection. So that would be the perfect time to attack the tank touch-up. Those touch-up bottles of paint with the finger-nail brush work. But the surface need to be flat, or the paint will run... Ride safe and enjoy! Smokier

Never heard that? I did part of my growing up on my uncles dairy farm. Ever seen a cow pi**ing? :)
Yes i have seen a cow piss. That's what made me laugh so much. I could just imagine it bouncing off a flat rock.

The tank's full right now. Once I've burned most of the gas, I'll take the tank off, check the wiring and clean everything underneath.

Saw where you were looking at a Can Am, trike, they're nice, but expensive.... With a Voyager or a Vaquero, or any belt drive bike, you can trike them easily since they have a belt.... Drive shaft bikes are more expensive to trike....depending on drive shaft rotation. belt or chain conversions make it much easier.... Thats the reason for the Vaquero....in a few years I can easily trike it....

Nope. I'll keep this one mostly stock. I've added a couple necessary things like crash bar close outs and (shipping) Chucksters large lower wind guards (and of course a phone mount) but the things I've added are for comfort since I'll ride year round. No body work, no over the top modifications. My goal is to ride as cheaply as I can while still enjoying the trip.

Thanks. If I can get rid of the buffetting, I think I'm set. If not, this will be the shortest ownership ever. :)
