Don't see why some folks get so uptight.
People offer advice all the time.
If you don't agree with it fine, then move on, unless you feel it is going to do some real harm to someone or their bike.

Hahahaha. Sorry didn't mean to start shit. Hehehe like I said my filter is a car Mobil 1 m110 and I think I'm gonna go t6 5w/40 since it's free...but damn it's synthetic...so I'll let you guys know in 2 or 3 months when I can see the grass, there is about 4 feet of snow right now.

Cranking is when the most wear occurs. IMO, 5W-40 is not going to provide sufficient lubrication during cranking. The 5W is the cold viscosity and is most important during cranking and the warm up period. In your 2nd post, you stated that protection was a primary concern. Again, IMO, a 5W oil will not provide sufficient cold start protection for your bike.
