New Corbin for my Vaquero

FINALLY got the Corbin seat after a two-month wait. No problem, they told me what the backlog was, so all is good. The cover on the KonTour seat was looking pretty rough, and I was not going to pay to get it recovered. I know that the world is soon ending, as my wife has said that she will ride with me some, I figure I might as well get something nice to ride into the end of times with! I even went the extra $$ and had the heating elements built in.

So far, I'm impressed! I haven't figured out how to describe the ride. When you mount the bike, it feels hard, stiff, firm - but not? You don't sink down, you're just - riding. No pressure, sort of forget about it completely, and just enjoy the ride.

The heat is great! It takes a few miles to soak through my leathers, but it sure makes those chilly mornings much better! So far, I'm quite pleased!

Does the corbin put you in the same position as the stock seat or lower/higher/forward/back?

Height seems about the same. I do sit slightly farther back than before. At first, I thought that was going to be an issue, but it really isn't take much farther, and I have quickly adjusted to it. I do need to slightly adjust how tight it fits. It sits so tightly, it is nearly impossible to get the rain cover on. Just need a warm day and I can square that away.

Three days this week riding to work, 27 degrees. That heated seat sure feels nice!

Good work by Corbin for sure. Question is, where does the wife sit? She must be a very small woman.

Very nice. I love the color combo. I have about 16K on my Corbin, and they break in nicely after you get a few thousand miles on them, and become more comfortable. I also have a pair of the backrests, one flat, and one oval. My lady loves the oval unit and she gets it on rides. Well made seats, with proper care they should last as long as your bike.
