Been a month

I've had my 2020 Vaquero for a month now , or 1500 miles , added tri ovals , Cobra fi2000 , and K&N filter , solo seat , cosmetic add ons . LOVE this bike , but need some good links to air intakes , I'm doing Ivan's this winter , don't want to waste riding time, pictures of the upgrade process.

Looking good! Chucksters can keep the original air cover look. Although some (like myself) found that the noise without all the factory airbox plumbing is distracting...

Thanks , I'll take a look , I still haven't decided if I need the new intake , and once I speak with Ivan I'll make my decision , I'm a researcher , I never make a decision without looking at all the options first . That Jack is from harbor freight , and with the 20% off coupon I think it was 160.00 and is the best money I've spent . I use it for the bike , put a piece of plywood across the arms and raise my snow blower and mower to service them . Every time the tires on the bike leave the ground I pucker up a bit , but it's never failed me , and makes oil changes , cleaning , shock adjustment, ect. a snap.

Love the color of the bike! On the jack, I have the Harbor Freight lift table with the HF wheel chock added that would lift my 1500 but will not get the 1700 off the ground. Worked great for this old fart. Question, is that a lawn tractor lift or is it a bike lift? I like it but like you said I'd probably cringe too.


Never mind on the jack. Just looked it up on HF web page. Our local store does not stock it is why I haven’t seen it before.

I'm sure you could order the jack from HB's website and have it delivered to store , but if anyone does buy one , which I highly recommend , make sure to buy a bottle of hydraulic pump oil , also sold at HB , because the jack doesn't come with it .I believe it's rated to 1200 pounds

Any tips on using that lift, I just purchased the same one but haven't got too used to putting the bike on it. Any advise would be appreciated.

As far as advise , I'll post picks of where I line up the jack , you'll see I have towels between the bike and the jack , so I don't scratch the finish. I highly recommend doing this because the jack actually pulls the bike in to itself as it straightens up and takes the load off the kick stand , and onto itself. I place the jack under the bike , and then slowly raise it until the arms are under the frame rails on the kickstand side. So walk around and check to make sure that frame rail is on the rubber pads on the jack arms. If so you are good , it will only rock towards the jack itself as you lift it , and you'll have towels there to protect the paint.
After that my only advise is bourbon or soothing music , because no matter how many times I've done it , when those wheels on your 844 pound baby leaves the ground , you catch a case of the nerves. I hold onto the throttle grip with my one hand while I jack with my other , to help control the speed the bike stands up on the jack.
You'll have to positions to lock in with the bar , so raise it a little higher then the holes , slide in your lock then lower the arms onto that locking pin , SLOWLY that release valve is finicky , a little goes a long way , a 1/4 turn usually bleeds enough to lower it for me.
Once it's up , and the pins in place , the bike is going to rock , but it's sturdy ,I trust the jack now , I've watched videos of guys sitting on the jack bouncing on the bike and having no problem , so taking off bags , or loosening an oil filter should be no issue.
When you letting the bike down , remember that valve ,. Little goes a long way , when I get to where both tires are just touching but most of the weight is still on the jack , I sit on the bike , lean over and release the valve and gently lean the bike on its stand.
