Other than for Concours or Ninjas, I didn't think Kawi made TPMSs.
I'm not a big fan of internal TPMS sensors like Kawi makes. If you have to change the battery, you have to take the tire off the rim. I have used the TireGard TPMS system with external sensors for years. It doesn't connect to your phone like some do, but I really don't care about that. The only thing I don't like about it is that there is no simple way to mount the receiver so that it is clearly visible all the time, and the receiver is not weather proof. It vibrates if the pressure gets out of the range you set for each tire, but I can't even feel my phone vibrate in my jeans, so I would never feel the little receiver vibrate when I'm riding. I have it hanging from a RAM mount for my phone and I check it regularly while I'm riding, but I have to grab it and turn it so I can see it to check it. |

I have the TireGard TPMS on my Voyager and love it. Mine is mounted on the handlebar between the risers, right below the stereo. It's mounted on a ball so I can easily position it where I can see it the hole time I am riding. You can set high and low pressures on it, and if it gets out of range it will flash. If you're riding at night and want to know what your pressures are, just tap a button and it lights up for about 5 seconds. The monitor takes a AAA battery and the sensors take button batteries. They're marked 1 & 2 and you just screw them on in place of the valve stem cap.

FOBO 2's....slaves to my phone, sends audible signals over the phone, which are heard thru my Sena, without flashing lights and all, which the app does also have....
Its a win-win situation.... I have my sound setup when my pressure goes down it sounds like the Enterprise at general quarters....over my headset. Only wish they had a good pic of a bagger on the pics....

Quick update. Got the Sykik and so far they're doing all that I want/need. I don't have a smart phone....belligerent old codger that refuses to be drawn into the 21st century, so can't use those that need one.
Got about a hundred miles in today, felt great. Take care, ride safe. |
