Not only do they still make Hippo Hands, but there are other brands, too. Search for handlebar mitts.

I have used ATV mitts. But the needed to be modified. Cut and melted holes for the mirror mounts and had to cut the inside curve of the left mitt to get better manipulation of the blinkers. No air rushing in there so It was not a deal breaker.

I ended up with a pair of Alpinestars Equinox gloves. Not a lock of dexterity (which is to be expected) but they're warm.

Hands Freezing!

Thanks to all your suggestions, gave in and purchased some electric heated gloves. To Smokier, yes I do live in Southern Ca, but I do ride to other states. Last yr, rode to Reno, NV, got caught in their first snow storm of the year, riding down from Virginia City, rode the freeway in the snow. Made it to our hotel safely, but woke up the following morning in 17 degree weather. When I left Ca. it was 92, and 78 in Reno. Hit the rode home from Reno in 27 degree temps, my hands were freezing! Wind chill factor-COLD.
Safe riding to all!
