Cruise control won't engage

I'm having an issue with my cruise control on a 22' voyager. The yellow light will not come on or occasionally comes on for just an instant and then immediately turns off. I've run the cruise control system switch diagnostics and get no codes.

Any suggestions?

Back brake light switch needs adjusting ? You could be disengaging the cruise by touching the back brake ever so slightly or there is not enough free play in the mechanism ? Adjust the switch mechanism to give more free play ?

I would also check the switch in the clutch mechanism. I had terrible problems with this when my bike was new.

I would start with electrical cleaner spray in the handle bar main switch. Pull it apart with a JIS screw driver. Sorry if you already have one, but if you don't get one. Spray it out well and re-assemble. Test. If not then move on to the other switches, Clutch, front brakes both sides and rear brake.

Now Please introduce yourself and Welcome to the best place for information that I have ever used. Searches are not the best but you will not get as much False and Flippant information here as you would with FB or other places I have visited.

I hope this helps.

Mike

The guy asks a question then does not return for the suggestions to fix the issue.
