I've attended a VBA rally every year since the first in 2008. I really look forward to them every year. Last year, I went to two and I plan to do that again this year. I don't even own a good motorcycle anymore and I still attend the rallies.
Someday you'll own a real man's bike!

If for no other reason, folks should come just to see the guy who's leaving a new Goldwing at home just so he can ride his beat up, lame, 6 year old, high mileage, clunky old Nomad 2,798 miles one way just to be there(NC to AR to TX to IA to CO).
This will be my third National. And my 12th KawaNow/VBA rally. I meet more great folks each time. If you are on the fence about this rally, jump off onto the bike and head for CO.

At this time it looks doubtful that I will be able to make the National Rally. I work for FEMA on a part time basis and we are very active at the present time. In years gone by I could “protect” 60 days per year where I could not be activated. That is how I have attended past rallies. But, I had to use all of that time after my surgery in January and cannot now “protect” any dates. I am currently working in South Dakota and when I am finished here I am almost sure that I will be sent to OK. As such I am canceling my reservations at the base hotel.

Hate to hear that Bill, but you are certainly doing important work. Hope to see you sometime this year.

We were hoping to meet you in McCook. But I'm sure you're needed in Oklahoma.
Hopefully we'll see you in Antlers.

Bill,
We are gonna miss you....seems like a lot of folks who planned to make it aren't going to...but you have a good reason to miss it if you will be off helping those who need it most. We'll have a snort on your behalf...!

That's too bad, Bill. I was wondering if you were going to get called to OK after all the tornado damage. I guess you'll be helping folks who really need it.

Sent pm to Waterman and cancelled my room at the Rodeway at Estes in case anyone needs a room. This sucks as I had this planned for a long time and was gonna ride 2up w my oldest son and spend a month seeing this beautiful country of ours. I was also looking forward to meeting you all as I had a great time at Antlers but my wife broke her leg pretty bad a couple of weeks ago w 2 plates and 20 screws to fix it. I thought I could still make it if she was getting round but I gotta take care of my girl. I'm still going to the SE rally and Antlers too and hopefully be able to take a week or 2 trip w my son later in the summer. I hope to make the next national and as many rallies as I can get away with. I hope you guys have a blast and safe travels
