It isn't like my gas mileage is worth bragging about now. I think just adding the K&N dropped it by 1-2 MPG. No, I haven't been getting on it either, because I can't stand to hear it ping. At any rate, I'm excited to get the TFI and get it installed. Having the bike run a little cooler would be nice, too.

It's true. MY gas mileage went down. But not because of the device. I simply wasn't afraid to open the throttle anymore.

so far, after a few tanks, still getting about 40 miles/gallon, i have to see what happens on a long trip, but it sure feels sooo much better! now passing power on 5th gear is surprisingly smooth and plenty of torque.

So... stock air is restrictive to the point of ---- truly hindering natural performance?

reviving this topic, i finally got to enjoy my bike the way it was intended. after installing the cobra fuel mgmnt. i can't tell you how much better it is, and soooo simple to install, i have been running on it for about a month, and no problems whatsoever, and!!! still getting average 40 miles per gallon, this past sunday rode up to sequoia, and on the way back it got a little hot around bakersfield, maybe 103 degrees NO PINGING EVER!!!! an i actually took my bike up to 120 miles per hour, i still had throttle left, i feel pretty sure that it will make 130, sweet, sweet!!! and FYI i went 170 miles before refueling it took 4.3 gallons, that was close!!!

That would be a real miracle if your engine is internally stock.

I've never heard of a Nomad hitting 130, even 130 indicated which would probably be around 120 MPH actual, without expensive mods.
