Grrrrr....I QUIT!!!

CMQ. this time has been much easier for me too. Maybe we do get wiser as we get older.Whatever the reason, I'm glad it is working for both of us.

Grrrrr....I QUIT!!!

Its been almost 7 weeks for me and it was tough the first 4 weeks. Now it doesn't seem as bad unless Im around others that are smoking. At Port Dover on Friday there where quite a few guys with cigars and It was hard to resist , but so far Im hanging in.

Grrrrr....I QUIT!!!

Today makes 12 weeks.

That's if you don't count all the 2nd hand smoke I inhaled at the casinos in Nevada last week. ;)

I decided I'm not going to count that. Then I'd have to quit quitting and start quitting all over again. That sounds like too much work.

Grrrrr....I QUIT!!!

I am thankful I never started. My son and his wife smoke and I'd give anything if I could get them to stop.

13 weeks and 3 days and I'm still "clean". I think I'm starting to like this a lot.

Five months today since my last smoke. Me thinks I might have finally got that guerilla off my back.

Grrrrr....I QUIT!!!

Five months sounds great to me.

I had to go out & work in the garage today & that's when I always get the urge again: particularly if I find something I don't like there. Today I found my bike had leaked some oil. Grrrrrr! I wanted a smoke pretty bad right about then.

I've always smoked in the garage. I wonder if that part of the urge will ever go away?

Thanks Misunderstood, only wish I had stuck with it the other three times.LOL. Hind sight is so good. CM, if ya like grapes, take a bag of grapes to the garage with ya and just eat them as you work.

congrats to all!!! It's harder than anyone who hasn't smoked knows!! About your son & daughter-in-law...they can't quit 'til THEY want to...it's the sucky thing about nicotine...you have to be ready to quit...if you don't want to you can't/won't!

Sue hit it right on the head. Only one person can make the deciscion. It has to be the smoker. And you can't just say you're ready, you have to really be ready in your mind and heart. Then there is that old saying,"a puff away from a pack a day" is with you forever. This is my 4th time to quit. This time I hope is forever.

Stick with it Cadd. I quit a 2 pack a day habit 24 years ago. It wasn't too bad because I was dipping along with the smoke. The snuff was the hardest for me and I just quit that 2 years ago. I'm over it now, thank God. Good luck.

In just under two hours it'll be my 100th day without a smoke: it's a bit hard to believe.

And I'm in such good spirits!

Like, you guys haven't noticed me being cranky or anything, right? ;)
