My Victory handles better than any long distant bike I've been on by far. Having a monoshock aluminum frame makes a difference. Power is comparable to a 110 HD but I've still pulled them stock. Easily pull a 103. More riding room than my 2006 Nomad which at the time had the most room. Better mileage than the Nomad by an average of 5mpg's. Seat is ok. Nothing to jump for joy. Will probably be getting a RDL next spring.

After all you have said about how spunky your XCT is Brad, I sure hope yours can outrun the Victory Commander in the test. It may slightly out accelerate the Harley's, but it appears it really is not a very fast bike any means. 0-100 is 7.37 seconds slower than ST1300, which of course is slower than a C-14 or FJR, all three of which are hard bag touring bikes. But good grief, that is almost twice the ST's 0-100 time. 0-60 is also a huge difference: 3.49 (ST) versus 5.31 (Victory commander)...nearly 2 seconds. I suppose the XCT could win an Amish drag race, but after that article, I'm not sure I'd bet on it!

0-60 or 100 tests do nothing for me unless I plan on drag racing -- and I do not.
Top-speeds do not do crap for me either -- since I do not plan on riding over 100mph (I would only suggest idiots would do that anywhere but a closed-track...) Braking information is important to me... Victory's entry ends-up last in that test. The information most valuable is the "vehicle dynamics testing"; which more closely replicates life-like road scenarios -- how I plan on riding my bike. [In vehicle dynamics testing, where times from five laps on a road course are averaged: 1st:The F800 recorded the fastest time at 1 minute, 39 seconds (1:39.59). 2nd: R1200 (1:40.28) 3rd: Norge 1200 (1:41) 4th: Road King (1:48.47) 5th: Electra Glide (1:48.67) 6th: California 1400 (1:49.51) 7th:Victory Commander (1:51.97).] As you can see, the bikes designed for that purpose exceed. No big surprise. I would own a bike like that if only the ergonomics and size would work for me... but they don't.

As far as the ergonomics, BMW makes a lowered suspension version with different seat heights. Come late Q1 next year, the new RT will be out. Water cooled and all. No I won't be getting one.

Greg, I don't plan on it either, though at times the extra giddy-up is nice, especially if it comes in a package that also has great handling and which you can ride all day. I was just rubbing Brad's nose in it, given how often he spouts off about how fast his Victory is.

That's one thing HD has in spades, dealer support. Iowa had 21 HD dealers. AZ has enough too.

This is out there, but not exciting current owners due to tiny windscreen and apparent lack of platform space for a top case. http://www.indiancarsbikes.in/motorc...y-shots-75339/
