well i finally did mine. was a bit nervous till i got the first one out. I used some high temp flat black paint to clean up the drill markes . I am impressed with the sound.

Removing Silencers
I also joined the club yesterday and removed the silencers on my beloved Lula Mae. The job took me about 20 minutes to do with great concern and alot of praying trying to pull them out of that 1 3/4 " hole. After much tuging and pulling they finally came out. When I cranked Lula Mae up the first time and heard that sound I had fond memories of when I was a young boy on Christmas morning. I rode 200 miles last night just to listen to her sing. BD thank you for sharing your knowledge ..... YOU ARE THE MAN.
