Yes. Well, Washington was so I can color it on my map. Montana was because I had never been to Missoula and hadn't been to Butte or Bozeman in many years. Is there something wrong with that?

Stayed the night in Bishop, CA. A 320 mile ride turned into another 500 mile ride. Dave, Marie and got to the top of the pass in Bridgeport and it was closed due to a tanker roll over. We had to turn around and go north again through the desert near Walker Lake in Hawthorn NV. Blistering hot. There were no notices that the Sierra pass was closed! Should be home by noon today.

Just got in the door but stayed overnight at an uncles farm south of Nanton. Had a leisurely ride back on some side roads to Bigfork on Friday, then made the mistake of Logan pass Saturday morning. Traffic was bad & they watered the gravel to mud down the other side. Came across at Chief Mountain into Waterton yesterday around noon & l layed about 50' of rubber to avoid hitting a black bear on Hwy 6. The bears eyes were likely as wide as mine. After he disappeared in the bush a guy on a sport touring bike about a 1/2 mile behind me had seen it unfold & came up to make sure I was thumbs up OK. A bit of a heart thumper for sure!
