Been in the upper 90s all week so I haven't done much riding. We will be riding with the SCRC Saturday. Should be around 180 miles total.

Sounds like it will be a nice ride WanderingNomad. You guys have a safe and enjoyable trip.

I rode 15 miles today but 11 of that was my round trip to work.

Ducked out of work early Thursday, rode about 100 miles to pick up a buddy, and then another 175 to check out "Thunder in the Valley" in Johnstown. PA. Then got up Friday morning and did another 275 riding around Southwestern PA including Route 30 (Lincoln Highway), Route 40 (National Road), Ft. Ligoneer, and Ft. Necessity, etc... and back home. 550 in two days is a nice amount as we did lots of site seeing. Saw a a dozen or so other Nomads and assorted Vulcans at Thunder, did I see any of you?

Well, since we rolled in about 12:30 this morning it qualifies as today!

Left Hill City, SD (in the Black Hills) yesterday about 8AM. About 600 miles. We took stops and made use of the state rest areas. The rest area at Chamberlain SD has a nice Lewis & Clark historical display and a great view of the Missouri River.

Would have completed the trip in about 11 hours except for TORNADOS! Ran into a what looked like a black cloud of death about 90 minutes from home. We spun it around and headed back to the little town of Truman (pop. about 1200) we had just passed and found the fire station while the tornado sirens wailed.

Everybody at the station was AWESOME. They welcomed us in and we hung out there a couple hours until the storm blew past. Heavy rain, hail, amazing lightning...

We were tuckered out once we got home. Overall a nice ride, memorable for sure!

Actually this post will be for yesterday's ride. It was extremely hot yesterday and rode 40 miles. Went to bed early so didn't get back on the computer at all.

Rode about 50 miles yesterday. Was going out this afternoon but it is storming and I ain't feelin it. If it clears up, we may ride in the evening.

50 miles this morning shortly after sunrise, back before the rain and mid 90's temps. That's how you have to do it in the summertime in South Florida ;)

Rode about 50 miles early this morning trying to scuff my new Dunlop D404 front tire. Man, what a difference a new tire makes! My old Metzler had some tread left but had cupping.

Anyway, trying to find my sweet spot on the CT on back....currently at 36psi and will drop it for tomorrow's commute!

Looks like some of us get a little riding in. I only managed the trip to work and back today for the usual total of 11 miles. Just enough to say I rode.

Only rode 135 miles instead of the planned 180,but still had a great time and found some new backroads to ride.

Too dang hot to ride yesterday so we took the van 100 miles to New Castle Del. just as we arrived a ride was about to start. 700 sweating people on bikes and the forth bike was a nomad and the only nomad.

Rode 18 miles today but 16 miles was tonight after the sun was long gone. It has been miserably hot.

Did three short rides today for a total of 16 miles. Still enjoyed it although didn't get to put many miles on the bike.

60 miles round trip. Had a good lunch and a cheap haircut. Main purpose was to break in the new Cobras. So far I like them, going over joints and taking corners in rough road surfaces are smoother.
