Man I know hockey is crazy popular up there but I just cant keep up with it. They tried to put the little red or blue tracer on it on TV to help us challenged folks watch it but I have no idea about the rules. It must be just soccer on ice with a stick and a puck traveling at 100 mph at your head..??

108 mph is our defenseman's hardest snapshot as clocked with radar. Then there is suppose to be someone from your own team in front of the goalie to mask the shot so that they can't see it. I'm sure there aren't a lot of people volunteering for that job. Hockey also has some good bare knuckle fights.

If the action is too fast for you Dave, try watching bowling or darts instead.

Just imagine being a goalie in the old days before face masks. You had to have nerves of steel not to flinch when a puck was coming your way.

Ouch! I'm definitely too pretty for hockey! Plus it reminds me of a saying from Cool Runnings... It's kind of a winter sport Mon!

Not many people around here can remember it being this high before. Yes, come May there is the odd fisherman that makes their way to this area. Between the bikes and boats at the motels here I don't know how anyone else gets a room in Belleville!

Quinte give up a lot of nice walleye. But if I'm not mistaken you guys up there call them pickerel. I also heard them being called walleyed pike.

FYI 61 this morning and its 35 now with some wet snow
