If you could only have one...
I haven't been out of Louisiana on mine yet. The wife and I are planning to do the Natchez Trace from Natchez MS to Tennessee. My dream trip would be in the Colorado Rockies then up to Yellowstone. That's a long ride from down here though. By myself wouldn't be a problem but with the wife there would be lots of stops.

I think I agree with Route 66 I've heard its great. Either that or down through Zions, Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon and back up through Colorado through Durango and Silverton. I love livin in the west. By the way, Harley has a great trip planner on their site if your ever planning a ride out.

I'd ride up the the folks place in southern Michigan, visit for a while, head up across the Mackinac bridge, west thru the U.P. into Wisconsin and depending on time, either head to Yellowstone, then back to Texas or follow the Mississippi down to a good jumping off point and head west back to Texas.

Okay, so we've had 220 views and only 19 posts. I guess some don't like riding enough to have a "dream ride". That or my request that it be one week is limiting.

Mine have just about been covered so I didn't figure to post. I'd need all summer anyway.

I have no clue where I would go. Maybe up through the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline, then up toward Maine.

The Appalachin Trail.
Okay, my dream would be to cross the US but I don't think I could do that in a week. I guess I could, but not back within the same week. If I'm only allowed a week's time, Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive.

I'll have to go with the Blue Ridge Parkway as well. It is especially nice at 6:00 on a Sunday morning in April, when it's just you, the road, the trees, the mountains, and the sweet cool mist blowing over you........

I'd head to Glacier National Park in Montana, then down into Utah. I've ridden the Going to the Sun Highway in Glacier before on a bike, and it was fantastic. Never been to Utah, but from what I've read, it's a place I need to go!

and if I'm really good I get to go to the Sonic in Eldorado Springs, MO.
racinchef, would love to have you come to Missouri. we could get extra long chili-cheese coneys at Sonicnd cherry-vanilla Dr. Peppers. Eldorado Springs is only about 3 hours from here. I hope to make it up your way someday on a trip. |
